Battle of the Books
Read Books. Do Battle.
Battle of the Books is a fun, academic-based trivia competition that
tests students’ book knowledge. Students who participate enhance their literacy skills and read from a variety of book genres. They practice skills,
such as identifying setting, character, plot, problem, goal, and resolution
and also working with higher level language techniques like summarizing
and inferencing.
Each year, TCIS is represented by two teams of 4th/5th grade students.
This year our middle school students will have the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Middle School Battle of the Books, happening on March 8th!
