Every year in April, TCIS Learning Commons hosts "Library Week" with a host of games and activities to entice people to visit the library and explore what we have to offer. In the 2021-2022 school year, Library Week was from April 25-29, 2022 across campus. This page shows the daily themes and pictures of events the students participated in!
Monday- Book in a Jar Day
Some books have been shredded and placed into jars! Students can look at the jars and guess the book in order to be entered into a drawing to win a prize.
Tuesday- Book Spine Poetry Day
Outside the library are piles of books. Students can use them to make a poem using the words on the spine. Take a picture of your poem and send it to the library to possibly be featured.
Wednesday- Book Character Scavenger Hunt
Famous book characters have escaped from their books and are all around the school! Can you find them and bring them back to the library for a small reward?
Thursday- Teacher's Favorite Book Day
A lovely display shows many of the secondary teachers as well as their favorite books. Can you guess which favorite book goes with which teacher? Winners will be entered into a drawing to possibly win prizes!
Friday- Library Game Day
The library board games are finally available for use again! This is the first time students have been allowed to use them since COVID began. Come enjoy all the games and puzzles the library has to offer!
